TAODAN 2pcs Recessed Door Magnetic Switch Wired NC for Home Security

Description

Product Overview

The TAODAN 2pcs recessed door magnetic switch is engineered for precise, reliable detection in residential and commercial security applications. Constructed from flame‑retardant ABS housing, the unit resists high temperatures and deformation, ensuring long‑term performance even in demanding environments. Its normally closed (NC) contact type means the circuit remains closed until the magnetic field is disrupted, providing a clear, instant signal to alarm panels or video surveillance systems when a door or window is opened.

Measuring just 2.6 x 1.93 x 0.47 inches and weighing only 0.634 ounces, the switch is compact enough to be installed discreetly within door frames or window jambs without compromising aesthetic appeal. The product comes as a two‑piece set, allowing users to protect multiple entry points with a single purchase. With a robust magnetic coupling, the sensor delivers sensitive response and accurate detection, minimizing false alarms while guaranteeing prompt alerts for genuine intrusions.

Technical specifications include a model number PS‑RM‑DSWITCH‑2P‑TD, a best‑seller rank of #58 in Magnetic Switches, and a customer rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars based on four reviews. Designed for easy integration, the switch can be wired directly into existing alarm circuits or paired with wireless home security systems, making it a versatile choice for DIY installers and professional security technicians alike.

Usage

Ideal for both new construction and retrofit projects, this magnetic switch excels in a variety of settings. Homeowners can install it on entry doors, patio doors, and basement windows to create a layered security perimeter that deters unauthorized entry. In small businesses, the switch can be incorporated into access control systems, providing real‑time monitoring of storefront entrances and back‑office doors. Its NC configuration ensures that any interruption of the magnetic field—whether caused by a door opening or a window being broken—triggers an immediate alarm signal.

Because the device is recessed, it remains hidden from casual observation, reducing the risk of tampering. The low profile also means it does not interfere with door operation or window functionality, preserving the user experience while delivering continuous protection. Whether paired with a standalone alarm panel, integrated into a smart home hub, or connected to a video surveillance camera, the TAODAN magnetic switch offers flexible deployment options for a wide range of security scenarios.
